We had an excellent weekend - a wonderful route with very fast going, incorporating many private tracks on the Barbury Castle Estate, including the Point to Point course, owned by Mr Nigel Bunter.
The event was used by the British Team Squad as their final preparation for the European Endurance Championships in Florac (France) on the 9th & 10th September 2011. http://www.160florac.com/index.php?lang=EN

Updates: 9/8/2011 – Gate Allowances
As Linda & Jill found some extra sheep during route checking on Sunday, and the landowners on Smeath’s Ridge have now told us that the sheep there won’t be moved either, there will have to be more gates closed than we expected. Also we are a bit short of gate openers (although getting better – well done Linda!).
In the light of this there will be gate allowances – There is a max of 10 closed on a loop (with 20 open ones), but that does ramp up for the longer classes. Gate allowances for each class can be found on the Saturday and Sunday Classes pages
Updates: 9/8/2011 – 2day CR classes
The vets have asked that the 2-day classes use the ER vet sheets, , although they will only be putting the basic info on them. You will have been sent this with your rider details so please do NOT use a CR vet sheet.
Updates: 7/8/2011 – last page of talkround may be missing
All riders details have now been despatched.
Note that some riders may not have been sent the complete routes talkround by mistake (page 3 missing) – but you can download full copies, plus the individual routes talkrounds from the Saturday and Sunday Classes pages.
Opening date: Monday 13th June 2011
Closing date: Monday 25th July 2011
Welcome to The 2011 Ridgeway Barbury Castle website - now a well established and popular event, 2011 once again, with the very kind permission of Mr Nigel Bunter and the Barbury Estate, saw Barbury Castle as the spectacular venue for the ride which, following the success of the 2010 event, played host once more to the Inter Regionals Championship which for 2011 is kindly sponsored by AIROWEAR.
